Avalis guarantees Bossar with €700,000

Bossar Packaging S.A. has been guaranteed by the company Avalis with an amount of €700,000 before financial entities and official bodies. This is confirmation of its trust in the company’s capabilities.

Avalis, a Reciprocal Guarantee Society, whose shareholders are the de Catalan Government, the Catalan Finance Institute, and different financial entities and chambers of commerce, allows companies the easy access to credit and to international markets. To achieve this objective, their involvement consists in providing guarantees to the financial entities and official bodies, and technical guarantees to international customers and suppliers.

According to the report from that Guarantee Society, Bossar Packaging has always had an Innovative spirit and, after 21 years since its founding, has become an internationally consolidated company. With over 100 employees, it has a presence in 97 countries and with the most important multinational companies in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. After its restructuring in 2009, Bossar has seen consistent evolution, growth and consolidation.

The global packaging sector has consolidated, becoming one of the industrial segments with the highest growth, expansion and innovation. However, due to the economic crisis in 2008, the access to financing has been reduced, especially in the auxiliary industry to this sector. Since a year ago, the financial entities have favoured companies with a profile similar to Bossar: maker of highly value added products, known for constant innovation, and international.

This guarantee has assisted Bossar in negotiating with financial entities in order to increase its credit lines, from cash flow to mid- and long-term investments. It also gave the company access to new lines of credit for generating resources for its activities, instead of using these as financing guarantees.

Bossar is planning to increase and consolidate its international presence in the future, improve its margins and consolidate the servo technology which it has pioneered internationally by launching a new concept within the horizontal form, fill and seal market.
