Rolf Drewes is Songwon Vice President for Business Sector Specialty Chemicals

Songwon Industrial Group strengthens its leadership team by appointing Dr. Rolf Drewes as Vice President Business Sector Specialty Chemicals, effective October 1st, 2013. Drewes brings 25 years of industry experience and an excellent international track record of leading technically challenging business units and building up new markets.

At Songwon, Drewes will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a strategy to expand the global Specialty Chemicals business with an emphasis on high value industries. His responsibilities will include establishing recommendations for focusing on selected industries, specific strategies, value chain analysis, mid- to long-term business targets and organizational and manufacturing set up. Drewes will report directly to Songwon’s Chief Operating, Maurizio Butti.

Drewes holds a PhD in Chemistry from Ruhr University Bochum in Germany. Prior to joining Songwon, Drewes held senior positions at Heraeus Precious Metal and Ciba Specialty Chemicals Inc.
