Romaco Group expands management team

DIRK Bauernfeind has been appointed Managing Director of Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH effective 1 July 2016. He now shares the responsibility for the company with Carsten Strenger, CFO/COO of the Romaco Group, a leading global supplier of processing and packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, and chemicals markets.

Paulo Alexandre has focused on his core function as CEO of the Romaco Group as of 1 July 2016.

Mr Bauernfeind will be responsible for Sales, Project Engineering and Product Management. He will work alongside Mr Strenger, who will act as Head of Finance and Operations both for Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH and for the Romaco Group as a whole. In future, Paulo Alexandre will concentrate fully on his core function as CEO of the Romaco Group. Romaco is a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG. The Noack, Siebler and Bosspak brands are manufactured at the Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH facility in Karlsruhe.

Specialist for blister technologies

Prior to joining Romaco Pharmatechnik GmbH, Mr Bauernfeind was Head of Global Product Management at Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG. He was responsible in this function for Uhlmann’s entire machine portfolio. During his long career at the Uhlmann Group he held various positions within the company and gained managerial experience in the areas of product management, development and sales.

Mr Bauernfeind, 43 is a native of the Baden region in south-west Germany. A qualified industrial mechanic and Business Engineering graduate, he can draw on extensive experience in sales and market intelligence backed up by a wealth of industry know-how.
