RSP keeps hot metal, crude steel production momentum

The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), has continued its production momentum with a record of 2,07,319 tonnes of hot metal during August. According to RSP sources, during the month the crude steel production touched 1,96,023 tonnes and saleable steel production stood at 1,73,606 tonnes. RSP Managing Director S N Singh personally visited the blast furnaces and steel melting shop No 2 to congratulate the workers of these two vital departments for their sterling performance. The first five months (April-August 2010) of this fiscal also witnessed impressive per formance in several production centres, including hot metal production, crude steel production and total saleable steel production. The production of hot metal during this period was the highest in comparison to any April-August since inception of the plant.Кроссовки Lifestyle
