Saudi Arabia to produce over 3M tonnes of steel

 Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Secretary-General Adnan bin Hussain Mandourah said the steel factories in the Kingdom were currently being expanded to produce more than three tonnes of steel annually next year.

Dahlan also said the annual demand for steel in the Saudi market exceeded 6.5 million tonnes in view of the country's rapid economic development.

Construction and mega basic infrastructure projects in the Kingdom have lured the international steel manufacturers, he added.
