Seafood company to rake in THB 400 million at Thaifex

LEADING international seafood company Thai Union Frozen Products (TUF) expects to generate over THB 400 million sales at this year’s THAIFEX – World of Food Asia, which runs from 20-24 May at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok.

The company has been in the seafood business for over 38 years, and has grown its local brands Sealect, Fisho and Bellotta, as well as international brands Chicken of the Sea, John West, King Oscar, Petit Navire, Parmentier, Mareblu, and Century. It is the largest producer of shelf-stable tuna products with annual sales exceeding THB 100 billion (USD 3.8 billion).

At the event, local Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha drops by the TUF pavilion which is presenting the best of seafood at the Ice Bar, including a 1.5 meter giant deep-ocean tuna from the Pacific Ocean and imported lobster products.

TUF also ensures sustainable production. It is a member of the UN Global Compact, a founding member of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF) and a recognized member of Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Emerging Markets 2014 known for sustainable production.
