Sealed Air wins top prize at FPA awards

Sealed Air Corporation received major recognition at the 59^th Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards, for its vacuum skin packaging system.

The company’s Cryovac® Darfresh® On Tray took home the Highest Achievement Award –Retail, which is given to a product “possessing overall packaging excellence, significant attributes in all the award categories, and contributing most to the advancement of the industry.”

The innovative packaging design benefits consumer, processor and retailer, according to Sealed Air. A leak-proof, clear tray and lid with 360 ̊ view allow consumers to examine the entire product before purchase. Additionally, the tray has a freezer ready protective package for easy to open convenience. The packaging uses up to 40% less film with no material scrap, and the design allows for vertical display.

Presented by the Flexible Packaging Association, the packaging awards highlight excellence in innovation and sustainability.
