EATONTOWN, NJ – Flexible Stenting Solutions (FSS) has received CE mark approval for its FlexSten Iliac Self Expanding Stent system. The system is used for treating symptomatic atherosclerotic disease of the common and/or external iliac arteries. The FlexStent Iliac Stent system features fully connected, flexible, and durable nitinol stent with a 6 French / .035” wire delivery system for accurate stent deployment.

With the launch of the system, the FlexStent family of peripheral vascular stent systems now includes stent diameters of 5 to 10 mm and offers additional options for the treatment of peripheral artery diseases of the iliac, superficial femoral, and popliteal arteries.

"FSS's continued goal is to work towards expansion of the indications of this unique stent and simplify the peripheral vascular stenting procedure so the physician can focus on the patient," Janet Burpee, FSS CEO, said.

Launch of FlexStent Iliac Self Expanding Stent system in Europe is expected in the third quarter of 2012.
