Shanghai Medical Equipment Works Co., Ltd. (SMEW), a company with over 650 employees, was established in 1946 and is involved in the design, development, and production as well as sales and marketing of various types of surgical instruments, hospital equipment, disinfection equipment, and pharmaceutical machines. SMEW, in its early years, started the manufacture of computed tomography, dialysis equipment, and X-rays. In 1980, SMEW partnered with Siemens and then began the manufacture of X-rays and operating tables, its flagship products.
SMEW has its headquarters based in Shanghai, with four factories, three research teams, and one processing center, as well as distribution networks in China Mainland, North and South America, Africa, Latin America, eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia, including Russia, Egypt, and Mexico. SMEW is now one of the biggest medical equipment manufacturers in China, providing high-quality products for China and worldwide.

Operating Tables
Designed for outstanding function operation. Model 3006 is a multifunction, multipurpose universal operating table applied in the common operations of the operating theater. Model 3004 universal operating table is an ideal option for confinement and generic operation and for gynecology diagnoses and exams.

 Radiography Equipment for Diagnostics
Designed for fluoroscopy, gastrointestinal examination, general radiography, bucky radiography, and linear tomography and chest stand radiography (optional). Diagnostic X-ray system consists of the control console, high voltage generator, and electric controlled diagnostic table.

High-Frequency Radiography System
Basic configuration comes with a floor-mounted tube stand and a floating table. VISICAN Series systems are equipped with high-frequency generators with power levels from 30 to 50 kW. QUAFLO R500 Series is a modular bucky system suitable for general radiography, musculoskeletal diagnosis, or emergency ward applications.

High-Frequency Mobile X-ray Radiography Unit
Widely used for emergencies, sports and outdoor exercises, exploitation works, ICU and CCU departments, and wards.

After-Sales Service and Customer Satisfaction
SMEW regularly conducts customer satisfaction surveys among its customers to obtain opinions and comments. There are service hotlines, with China and overseas numbers, as well as message postings for inquiries and suggestions in the Web site under a special column. With over 70 service centers all over the country, repair and upgrade of equipment are available upon request. Warranty is usually from 1 to 3 years, but customers are advised to contact SMEW for pricing and packages.
