PROCEDURE

Phase A – Add water to main container and begin moderate propeller agitation. Sprinkle Ashland 980 into the vortex. Mix until uniformly dispersed.

Phase B – Premix AMP and water. Add to main tank and mix until clear and uniform. Slow agitation when solution gets thick so as not to entrap air.

Phase C – Premix Styleze XT3 and water. Add Belsil DMC 6031 and Liquid Germall Plus individually.
When both Phase A and C are uniform, add Phase C into Phase A. Mix until uniform.

Formulation Guidelines:
? Use level = 4% solids (13.5% as is)
? pH: 6.5 - 8.5
? Optimum performance at pH 7.0 and above
? Compatible in formulations at pH as low as 4.0
? Add below 50oC to formulation

Applications:
? Wide range of daily styling products applied in damp / wet state.
? Crèmes / Gels / Mousses / Lotions
? Use of conditioner or care shampoo not recommended prior to Styleze? XT3 polymer application/activation.
? Role of heat: Adequate delivery of heat is critical for activation [approximately 3 - 5 passes, 400 - 450oF, (200 - 230oC)].
