New HQ will strengthen local presence and customer proximity

Siemens has inaugurated its new Kuwait head office in the Ardiya area of Kuwait City to strengthen local presence and accommodate its expanding business, which has more than doubled over the last five years.

The new office will also accommodate growth in the company's workforce, which has increased by approximately 10 percent over the same time period to around 300 employees. In line with Siemens' aim to be a carbon neutral company by 2030, the new office also uses energy efficient technology including LED lighting, and has implemented the global Siemens Office Concept; a spacious and ergonomic working environment which promotes employee interaction, work-life integration and healthy working practices.

The new office was officially opened in the presence of H.E. Eugen Wollfarth, Ambassador of Germany to Kuwait, Bernd Ganter, Counselor of the German Embassy, Siemens EES Board Members Mr. A. Al-Radwan, and Mr. S. Al-Ghanim, Adrian Wood, CEO, Siemens EES in Kuwait, Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO, Siemens Middle East and Stefan Halberstadt, CFO Siemens Middle East.

"This is a milestone for Siemens in Kuwait, marking more than 50 years of our partnership with the country. The new office is our commitment to Kuwait's economic development, and our support for the next 50 years and beyond," said Adrian Wood, CEO, Siemens EES. "With more space to expand we are able to innovate, to better serve our customers, to continue our business growth and to enrich our contribution to society in Kuwait."

Siemens has been working in Kuwait since 1959 and has been a contributor of technology to some of Kuwait's largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects, including the combined-cycle Az Zour South Power Plant, Kuwait National Petroleum Company refineries and Clean Fuels Project, and the Kuwait University Health Sciences Center.
