Siemens launches latest Acuson Freestyle ultrasound system

SIEMENS Healthcare has launched the Release 3.5 Acuson Freestyle? at the International Symposium on Spine and Paravertebral Sonography for Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine 2014 held last November 1 in Hong Kong.

Targeted at the Asia-Pacific, this latest version of the world’s first ultrasound system with wireless transducers features improved needle visualization for better needle display during ultrasound-guided procedures. Its wide range of ultrasound imaging for diagnostic and procedural cases includes vascular, musculoskeletal, and nerve imaging.  

The product’s new user interface incorporates a larger clinical image display, imaging properties auto hide, preset display customization, and a clip playback feature of up to 60 seconds. 

The Release 3.5 Acuson Freestyle features a new mobile link app that connects to a Microsoft Windows tablet for opening, viewing, and sharing images and clips within the stored Patient Study List. The app allows system users to create patient study work lists and send these to the Acuson Freestyle system for new studies.
