SinuSys gets CE Mark for sinus dilation system

PALO ALTO, CA – SinuSys Corporation has received the CE Mark of approval for its AerOs Sinus Dilation System for opening up the sinus ostia to restore proper drainage and ventilation.

Unlike balloon dilators that can be uncomfortable and may require general anaesthesia, SinuSys Corp’s AerOs? expands gradually and requires only local anaesthesia. The device is inserted by the physician and set to expand, and can be removed after 60 minutes when it has fully expanded.

For the first phase of its commercialisation strategy, SinuSys Corp. has shipped devices to Europe, while it awaits the US Food and Drug Administration’s response to its 510(k) submission.Irene Garcia Noren
