Solae increases prices for soy ingredients

EFFECTIVE immediately, Solae will increase prices of its high quality soy ingredients by 7-9 per cent across the globe. Whilst alternative dairy proteins have experienced double-digit price increases over the last two years, the company was able to absorb general inflationary pressures through productivity efforts, but with current outlooks, price increases are unavoidable, Solae said.

"Solae is not immune to these economic pressures, and this new pricing is critical to our business and our ability to serve our customers," said CEO Torkel Rhenman.

Soy ingredients from Solae are used in products such as baked goods, beverages, nutrition bars, meats and vegetarian meals sold worldwide, and provide solutions that deliver a unique combination of functional, nutritional and economical benefits to our customers.
