WITH a 52,610-square-meter facility in Pyeongtaek, Cargill is ready to take on the growing animal feed market in Korea. The company unveiled its biggest feed mill which is expected to provide customers with “safe, trusted feed that maximizes the performance of their operations.”
“Our customers expect us to keep innovating and adding value to their products, and this investment focuses on delivering for their success,” said Dr Lee Bo Kyeun, Korea country representative and president of Cargill Agri Purina Korea. “The new feed mill will enable us to better serve our customers with advanced technology and high quality, safe animal feed. We work with governments, communities and partners to help build a sustainable feed industry with a long-term future.”
The state-of-the-art facility boasts the highest food safety for the local animal nutrition market. It can handle a capacity of 870,000 tons of poultry, ruminant, swine and pet food products. These will be marketed under the Purina & Nutrena brands.
Animal feed is one of the largest markets in Asia Pacific since the region has the largest livestock industry as well.
