Steady growth for yeast production

Source:China Market Research Reports Release Date:2014-07-28 246
Food & Beverage
Demand for yeast in bakery and brewing industries will remain steady from 2014-17, according to new report

CHINA produced about 4 million tonnes of molasses from 2008 and 2013. Besides yeast, this ingredient is used to produce alcohol since yeast production is limited by raw materials. To get around this problem, some companies use sweet potato sugar waste or other raw materials as culture medium.

BreadProduction of yeast grew from 2004-2013, at a CAGR of more than 10%. Whilst demand for this ingredient is growing in the bakery and brewing sectors, researchers expect steady growth from 2014-17. Yeast extracts will become the driving force in raising yeast demand. Restricted raw material supply however will continue to limit yeast production, and CAGR is estimated at 4%.

The market is dominated by Angel Yeast, AB Mauri, Lesaffre and Biosunkeen, which together account for about 80% of local output.  More trends are available in China Yeast Industry Report by the China Market Research Reports. Nike Phantom Vision DF FG
