Stern-Wywiol named 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year

 THE Hamburg enterprise Stern-Wywiol Gruppe has placed second at the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year business competition by by Ernst & Young. Torsten and Volkmar Wywiol, who received the award for the Industry category, account the Group’s success to effective corporate strategy, having been able to achieve two-digit growth rates, and recording more than €365 million in 2012. This is the highest turnover in its 33-year history.

Under Stern-Wywiol Gruppe, 11 companies develop, produce and market functional ingredients for food and animal feed. Their interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge gives them the capability to innovate, which together with expansion of facilities, has been key to the Group’s achievement.
