SternMaid expands production at Wittenburg

WITH an investment of €14 million, SternMaid GmbH & Co. KG has made room for the manufacture of pharmaceutical and health-care products and food ingredients at its Wittenburg site. The expansion opens up new processing opportunities for the company, including the use of fluid bed technology, which will allow segments drying, granulation, agglomeration and coating.

“With this versatile technology we will be able to enter new markets with a promising future,” said SternMaid managing director Stefan Schliesser. The company already has a counter-current container blending line for mixing, processing and filling active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients according to the most stringent regulations.
