Struktol Company of America is presenting its new products at K 2016. These new products are intended for the growing and evolving global wood-plastic composites industry where the company sees vast opportunities.
Next-generation lubricant packages designed to reduce required loading levels without any sacrifice of performance will be introduced. These new products, including STRUKTOL® TPW 617 and TPW 618, are targeted for processors needing improved viscosity reduction and better flow through the die without negatively affecting functional requirements such as adhesion to protective, high-performance capstock compounds and physical properties. The new products work at loading levels up to 50% lower than other commonly used lubricants potentially resulting in lower costs to the customer.
Struktol is also expanding its product line of engineered capstock compounds for WPC decking materials. The new products provide unmatched durability combined with scratch resistance, adhesion to the substrate, processability and surface gloss control. STRUKTOL® SA 1242 is a low surface gloss capstock compound with superior scratch and mar resistance that can be made with or without the company's unique UV stabilization package, which is proving to be one of the most robust protective packages available in the industry. Struktol capstock compounds can be tailor-made to address the customer’s needs and Struktol continues to develop the most innovative product solutions for this constantly evolving technology.
