Submillimetre Optical Prisms in Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Devices

Submillimetre optical prisms with dimensions to 0.20 mm from Bern Optics Inc. can be custom-engineered, ground and polished in a variety of difficult configurations, including optical wedges of any given angle, beam splitter cubes, parallel plates and custom configurations with combinations of plano, spherical or cylindrical faces. Created from optical and filter glasses with minimal edge chipping, these microscopic elements-some as small as a grain of salt-are also used in a variety of instrumentation requiring extremely precise optical components.
