Sun Lung wins Taiwan Excellence Award 2013

Sun Lung’s commitment to provide the best for its customers has been recognized with the latest Taiwan Excellence Award it received for its PCM Air-Cooling Gearbox. The system applies the Natural Air Cooling Principle. It consists of an exhaust fan installed on the rotating shaft, connecting with a copper spiral tube which is immersed into the inner PCM (Phase Change Materials) box installed at the bottom of the gearbox.

As the fan drives, the outside air can be absorbed into the inside tube constantly. The oil heat will be absorbed by the inner PCM, causing the Heat Exchange Effect with the cool air that can significantly lower the gearbox temperature. The cooling efficiency can be upgraded by 30%.

The exchanged hot air being led to the external water-coolant box can be transferred to normal evaporative emissions phase, avoiding the greenhouse effect.

This system can be widely used in many kinds of gearboxes for industries such as steel mills, power plants, cement factories, rubber and plastic machinery, recycling machinery, ships and other mechanical equipment.
