swop 2015 presents key trends in packaging

THE inaugural run of the Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) is expected to bring together more than 600 companies from the packaging industry around the world. Exhibitors from Germany, the United States, Japan, Turkey, Korea, China, and other countries and regions have confirmed their attendance to the four-in-one trade event.

Swop, organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co Ltd, and China Center for Food and Drug International Exchange (CCFDIE), is scheduled from 17 to 20 November at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

One of the four exhibitions at swop is PacPro Asia 2015, which will showcase cutting-edge machinery and process technologies for all kinds of packaging solutions, including materials such as paper, plastics, metals, glass, wood, ceramics, and textiles.

PacPro Asia will feature the Packaging Material Zone organized in partnership with the Packaging Family.  This new zone will have about 200 leading companies and will provide an excellent opportunity for end-users to experience the latest achievements in packaging materials. Participating companies such as Shanghai Packaging and Paper (Group) Co. Ltd, Jielong Printing, F. S. Korea, HCT, and Fedrigoni will present their latest technologies and innovations. Haier, one of the biggest household appliances manufacturers in the world, will also showcase its latest and upcoming solutions at the fair.

In addition to helping buyers and suppliers build industry contacts, swop 2015 aims to be a key platform for knowledge sharing. Different conferences and seminars, organized in collaboration with media groups and industry associations, will run concurrent to the show. They will cover key issues surrounding the global packaging industry such as future packaging trends as evolving in response to the needs of brands.

The conferences and seminars will include the ISPE-CCFDIE China Conference (Autumn), China International Cosmetics Convention, and China International Food Convention. There will also be a presentation about Haier’s new supply chain management model.
