About 500 innovative companies will occupy 2,600 booths at Taipe PLAS 2014

TAIPEI–This year’s edition of Taipei PLAS is expected to gather about 500 exhibitors. About 2,600 booths are booked. The exhibition will present a full range of exhibits, from compounds/raw materials, to a host of injection & blowing moulding machinery, extruders to semi- and finished products. A projected number of 16,600 visitors is anticipated on the scene to join one of Asia's best rubber and plastics procurement platforms.

After the financial crisis in 2008, Taiwanese plastics and rubber machine manufacturers have strengthened their supply chains and production lines. Injection moulding and extrusion machine makers are innovating from mould design to panel control systems with turnkey solutions becoming the distinguished products of Taiwan machine manufacturers. Due to the powerful R&D capability, flexibility in ordering and recognised after-sales services of its manufacturers, Taiwan is now the world's top four trade exporters of rubber and plastics machinery.

Taipei Plas 2014

Taipei PLAS 2012 attracted 13,361 visitors. Almost a hundred one-on-one procurement meetings led to multi-million dollars deals negotiated. Participants from Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Turkey, the Middle East Area, Russia, South Africa, Brazil and China have generated about $12.6 million on-site business in total. This year’s Taipei PLAS is expected to bring more business opportunities to exceed the achievements in 2012.
