As a well-known producer of thermoplastic elastomers, Ever Polymer has been helping processors to move towards greener production in response to global trends. For instance, recent initiatives by governments worldwide to impose strict standards for PVC and other high polluting materials have created demand for thermoplastic elastomers as best replacement for some materials. Thus, the application for thermoplastic elastomers have expanded to include conventional industry, IT industry, and medical field.
In order to cope with huge orders, Ever Polymer built factories not only in its homeland Taiwan, but also in Shenzhen, China. It also established branch office in Kunshan.
Mr Jin Long Du, General Manager of Ever Polymer, has been working with many commercial agents serving the Southeast Asian region. “Due to certain constraints set by the ASEAN, the company plans to build a new factory in Malaysia so we can distribute our products in this area more efficiently,” according to Mr. Du. Currently, domestic demand accounts for 30 to 40 percent of Ever Polymer’s revenue, while China and the East Asia account for the rest.
Ever Polymer faces stiff competition in Mainland China but orders from ASEAN countries have been on the rise that the company decided to build other factories in this emerging region. “We are optimistic for the future and hope to expand our scope to cover farther areas such as the Middle East and Africa. We are also expanding application for our products, especially in the communication sector and medical field where we see huge potential and development in the next five years,” Mr. Du adds.
