Tung Yu has been established for about 30 years. Being one of the well-known and trusted brands, the company has been promoting its various products to a wide customer base. The machinery it manufactures are diligently designed. Over the years, the company has been able to re-define the operation and performance of its machinery to suit the changing demand of its markets.
Tung-Yu produces around 800 machines each year, but most of the machines it released were just like other Taiwanese machines as they looked more basic compared to their European competitors, especially in the case of rubbery and plastic machinery. As a result, Tung Yu has been redesigning its machines to become distinguishable from other Taiwanese competitors and catch their customers’ attention. This move is critical because many machines from other Taiwanese manufacturers, although not as good as Tung Yu looked similar to Tung Yu’s former products.
Besides creating a more distinguished look for its machines, Tung Yu also develops other new machines which focus on enhanced clamping force and other performance-related factors. For example, since its powder compacting technology is not based on rubber or silica gel but rather on force and heat, the application is not limited to automobile industry. This advantage makes Tung Yu capable of moving forward towards the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. With these higher technology and adaptability, Tung Yu is now very much able to meet the demands of the foreign market that exort now accounts for 80% of the company’s revenues.
