TAIPEIPLAS 2016: Cutting-edge production systems for smart manufacturing

Taipei International Plastics & Rubber Industry Show (TAIPEIPLAS), organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), is scheduled to take place on August 12 – 16, 2016 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. The exhibition gathers 535 exhibitors to occupy 2,680 booths.

Over the years, TAIPEIPLAS has achieved a reputation for presenting the most innovative technologies in plastic and rubber manufacturing that makes it second to none in the plastics and rubber industry in Taiwan. The show has been expanding its range of exhibits from raw materials, molds and dies, components and parts, machineries, packaging to finished-products, all in a bid to fulfill buyers’ needs for a one-stop shop.  

Inspired by the concept of Industry 4.0, building smart manufacturing with elements such as autonomous robots, IoT, and big data have become a huge trend in the industry. In this aspect, TAIPEIPLAS will not be an exception with its effort to amaze the world again with Taiwan’s Industry 4.0 related products and a new exhibit area, “Automation and Robot,” to help the plastics and rubber manufacturers boost production efficiency and build smarter factory.

In addition to well-rounded exhibits, this year’s edition is packed with abundant activities. TAITRA has invited international buyers through its 60 overseas offices to visit the show. Buyers are to be matched with the right exhibitors in one-on-one procurement meetings to explore business opportunities during the show. Welcome party, new product launch events, seminars and workshops serve as great networking hubs for participants to interact and share market trends with one another.

This year, there are five tours that are organized covering smart manufacturing, auto parts, 3C products, medical equipment and packaging to lead buyers to the right suppliers and help them find what they need more efficiently.
