Taiwan exports rise US$26.80B in June

THE Ministry of Finance, R.O.C reported that for the month of June 2014, Taiwan's total exports expanded 1.2% year-on-year to US$ 26.80 billion. On the other hand, total imports rose by 7.5% from a year earlier to US$ 24.91 billion. The trade balance of this month was favorable, amounting to US$ 1.89 billion. Meanwhile, Taiwan's exports of electronic products, basic metals and articles thereof, machineries and chemicals grew by 9.9%, 12.2%, 12.7% and 2.0% respectively, comparing with the same month of last year.
