[Taiwan News] Taiwan government, scholars and industry must work together to innovate

Recently, there were many conferences held in Taiwan for industry innovation to change the mindset of firm owners in Taiwan from technique based to a holistic total solution version. As the industry is an economic pillar of Taiwan, scholars and government officials have hopes and expectations for business owners. It is hoped that owners and executives will be inspired and to develop a new operational model as their corporate goal.  They must also be able to develop skills in customization to cater to the market’s needs.  All these will remove obstacles for the industry so that it will be able to move smoothly on the road to transformation.

The idea of upgrading the industry by focusing on customers' request needs many integrated movements. Not only the integration of software and hardware, but also the integration of culture, customs, commercial operation, and many other important issues not directly related to production itself. One scholar said that firm owners couldn’t achieve upgrading alone. It must also be the responsibility of the Taiwanese government to provide the infrastructure in order to offer corporations a better environment to do business.
