Taiwan puts rising machine tool prowess on display at TIMTOS

Taiwan’s ascendancy in the machine tools chain seemed official on the floors of the 24th Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) being held at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall and the Taipei World Trade Center.

The latest machine tool equipment mulled over Taiwan’s shift from traditional designs to innovative designs, in which getting out of the box and coming up with something that hasn’t been done previously are becoming the dominant game.

Last night’s Machine Tools Industry Award 2013 for Excellence in Research and Innovation is testament that Taiwanese are indeed creative innovators, and how value-added machine tool equipment can boost Taiwan’s machinery fortunes amid a shift from traditional to ground-breaking designs.

With the increased popularity of creating innovative machine tool solutions, Taiwanese engineers are challenged to meet growing market demand. They now look to achieve quick time-to-market, and quality but low-cost machines.
