Tannourine Water boosts capacity, improves bottle design

TANNOURINE Water has recently installed a Sidel Matrix^TM Combi water line with a capacity of 31,500 bottles per hour under efforts to boost overall capacity. The company has likewise integrated the patented Sidel StarLite^TM water base to improve its bottle design and reduce the amount of PET needed and energy consumption during blowing. 

The Sidel StarLite base also enhances the durability, stability, and overall resistance of the bottles. Because the design provides a more energy-efficient production method, companies can blow the bottle with reduced air pressure, which in turn translates into energy and PET volume savings.

Sidel’s packaging team, which is part of the Sidel Services^TM business unit, designed the base, which is then made available to producers around the world. A similar base is available for carbonated soft drinks.

Consumption of bottled water in Lebanon will climb to 95.4 litres per capita in 2015 from 92.4 litres per capita this year based on forecasts from Euromonitor.
