Tetra Pak sets up ultra-modern facility in Chakan

TETRA PAK has inaugurated a world-class factory at Chakan, near Pune, in India, which is to support demand from the company’s processing and packaging solutions in India, South and Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. An investment worth €120 million (INR 700 crores), the 45-acre plant is yet another milestone in Tetra Pak’s presence in the Indian subcontinent.

The facility will house a straw production unit, a processing systems workshop, a filling machine renovation and a technical training academy. The product development and innovation centre includes a laboratory, a pilot processing plant and a pilot packaging plant.
