TetraPak carton bottle wins an iF award

TetraPak is no stranger to award-winning packaging. Most recently it accepted the 2014 International Forum Packaging Design Award (iF award) for its novel Tetra Evero^? Aseptic. This packaging, also said to be the first aseptic carton bottle for ambient white milk, was judged by over 50 experts as the most innovative concept, and agreed that it was attractive, easy to handle and stands out in environmental appearance. It was amongst 264 entries submitted this year.

The design did consider all these aspects – appearance, food protection, ergonomics, and environment. The cylindrical bottle with flat side panels make it easy for big and small hands to handle. It even has a wide printing space for maximum branding.

“All of these are made possible by a number of technology breakthroughs, including the first injection moulding for aseptic packaging. Winning an iF Packaging Design Award is testament to all the hard work of our R&D team,” said Lars Bengtsson, Product Group director, Tetra Pak.

The company accepted the award at the BMW Welt in Munich. The winning package will be on display at the iF design exhibition in Hamburg, Germany. Tetra Pak also gets to use the iF logo on all Tetra Evero Aseptic packages for its customers.

The iF awards is organised by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V.  It has been recognising professional designs in product development, communication and packaging since 1953.
