THAIFEX – World of Food Asia opens on May 22 to 26 at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is expected to draw some 27,000 trade visitors this year, with 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries presenting their products and services. A major show in Asia, THAIFEX will highlight Halal products, seafood, foodservice and food technology.
Halal, an important part of the Asia’s food industry will be located at Hall 1. The World of Halal seminar will address issues on the Halal food industry.
Seafood is one of the key product features, given that Asia is a big supplier/exporter and consumer of fresh and frozen seafood. The ASEAN accounts for 50% of global seafood production, whilst the growing middle class in the region demands high-quality fish, crustaceans and other seafood.
The food service industry will be well represented at THAIFEX. Visitors will be able to enjoy several activities including the Thai Chef’s Competition, Ice carving, Fruits & Vegetable Competition, Barista Championship as well as seminar focusing on restaurant concepts and management.
In food technology, focus will be on quality, hygiene and sanitation, food safety, value addition and cost efficiency.
Other conferences to be held concurrent to THAIFEX are World of Food Safety, Pack Innotech and Cold Chain World, all to take place on May 22-23.
