As a specialist in the development of both-ends CNC lathe, FastCut General Manager Wu is proud of their product’s wide applications, such as for the automobile industry and for textile manufacturing. In TIMTOS 2013 they are promoting their newly developed TF10 type. The CNC lathe is equipped with single spindle, two movable turrets, and a twin CNC system. The two turrets can operate simultaneously and carry out different cutting processes on both ends. This can applied to both end cutting of shafts, rods, and tubes and the concentricity could reach to 5μ. For those who need some other special processing, TF10 is capable for unsymmetrical or special-shaped ends. With optional tool changer, TF10 can be even more efficient. The applications of this type in automobile are wide, such as the processing of shock absorbers, transmission shafts, and torque stays. In all, the machine is good at the processing of shafts.
FastCut’s exports in 2013 were mainly to Mainland China, Russia, Czech Republic, India, and Indonesia. However, due to the desolation of automotive market, the productivity only stays fair. General Manager Wu hopes that the market could recover so that the productivity can be raised. For the market in Mainland China, ECFA does help on the tariff duties, which makes FastCut’s products more competitive in compare with the local products.
For the market in Thailand, since the flood impact, Thailand is now intending to purchase machines for general applications rather than special types like TF10, so this market needs to be further developed. Also, Latin America has great potential, according to Wu. In the future, FastCut will make more exposure globally and introduce the applications of their machines.
