TIMTOS 2017 welcomes its 26th year

TIMTOS once again breaks its record with 1,100 exhibitors using 5,430 booths that offer diversified selection of the newest products across TWTC Exhibition Halls 1 and 3, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 and the Yuanshan EXPO Dome at Taipei EXPO Park.

TIMTOS continues to expand its scale and gains global recognition, as it strives to become the best procurement platform and the trend setter in the industry. The dynamism TIMTOS exudes is reflected by the features in this edition: 

1.      The theme of 2017—"Industry 4.0⁺ and Smart Manufacturing"

To comply with the current global industry trend, TIMTOS goes that extra mile to underscore Taiwan’s integrated ICT and automated systems. Not only to realize the concept of Industry 4.0 but take it to the next level, exhibitors will demonstrate their newly developed machines and production lines that are incorporated with system integration, big data analysis and cloud computing applications to provide turnkey solution which improves production efficiency and reduces labor cost.

The Summit will be held at Conference Room 101 in Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) from March 8^th to 9^th. 17 speakers including representatives from world-renown firms such as CISCO, NVIDIA, SICK, SIEMENS, KUKA, Robert Bosch and Mercedes-Benz and industry and academic leaders will share the latest trends in “Smart Machines,” “Future Factories,” “Automotive Manufacturing Revolution” and “Aerospace Supply Chain,” in response to the 4th industrial revolution and continuous development of automotive and aerospace industries. 3.      International presentation of machine tools and smart machines

Accompanying Taiwanese companies, world-class firms from 20 countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, U.S.A., Japan, South Korea and India participate in TIMTOS this year to showcase their latest products that represent every facet of the machine tool supply chain. 

To enhance business prospects and trades, TAITRA mobilized its 60 global offices to invite buyers from around 90 countries, including U.S.A., U.K., Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and China for procurement visits. Big buyers include those from metal processing machine manufacturer “OPTIMUM MASCHINEN” from Germany, car manufacturer “NISSAN SOUTH AFRICA” based in South Africa, the biggest crane manufacturer “HIDROKON LTD” from Turkey and mining equipment manufacturer “DNIPROPOLYMERMASH” from Ukraine, just to name a few. 

TIMTOS also features more than 200 One-on-one Procurement meetings and over 30 professional seminars and new product presentations that will inspire exchange of insights and new prospects across the industry. There is also the highly anticipated “13^th R&D and Innovative Machine Tool Competition” where 39 exhibitors with 42 products will be competing for the top place, with the winner being announced at the Welcome Reception on March 8^th.

To make your visit smooth and efficient, the free TIMTOS APP that profiles all the participating firms and their products and shows floor plan of each exhibition hall will assist you to navigate the show at your fingertips. Shuttle buses that run amongst four exhibition halls will be the most convenient means of transportation for visitors to check out all the great exhibits in TIMTOS. Foreign buyers will be offered with free MRT cards that are embedded with prepaid passes for traveling around the city on the MRT.
