TMTS 2016 pre-show press conference

Before and after the pre-show press conference were a list of machine tool factory visits arranged by Taiwan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (TMBA).

It was a full packed schedule but it was exciting talking to technology leaders from some of Taiwan’s major machine tool brands, to discuss the challenge of making sure their businesses are running on all departments, and to hear about the best practices they are using to make sure customers are getting a consistently great user experience out of their machines and tools.

Among the list were Keyarrow, Hartford Motors, Posa Machinery, Hiwin Technologies, Goodway Machine, GSA Technology, Litz Hitech, Far East Machinery, Tongtai Machine & Tool, and You Ji Machine Industrial.

TMTS 2016 will be held from November 23 to 27, 2016 hosted by Taiwan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (TMBA) at the Greater Taichung International Expo Center (GTIEC). Showcased under an innovative, “Exhibition integrated with manufacturing supply chain,” the exhibition area is anticipated to be 78,000 square meters with more than 4,000 booths exhibiting all types of high precision machine tools, components, accessories, tools and automation equipment. There are 8% increase in overall scale and exhibitor number respectively than the last show in 2014.

TMTS is themed under, “Activating Intelligent Manufacturing heading towards Industry 4.0,” which best expresses the achievement of related advanced products, including sensing technology, machine-to-machine (M2M), data driven decision making, robot-controlled manufacturing, human-robot collaboration, and intelligent control of flexible (costumed) manufacturing system, which are all specialized fields of Taiwan machine tool industry.
