Treatt opens new beverage applications hub

IN preparation for increasing demand, Treatt has recently opened a new beverage applications center.

 

The facility, which is located at the specialist ingredients solutions provider’s UK headquarters in Bury St. Edmunds, will allow the company to work with customers in exploring different beverage applications, developing new flavor combinations, formulating blends, and conducting taste trials. It features a completely neutral environment capable of maintaining odor, temperature, and lighting at constant levels to ensure reproducibility. It has a tasting panel for testing concepts in-house and providing actual data for research work on new beverage flavors, thereby saving customers both time and money.  

 

The purpose-built facility includes a new sensory and brewing center. Customers can use the latter to recreate specific beer types and develop flavor solutions for various beer applications. Its brewing equipment can produce about 50 liters of wort a day. Designed with a high degree of automation and control, it can reduce the inherent variability associated with traditional single infusion brewing and aid reproducibility during product replication at the manufacturing stage.

 

Besides investing in new facilities, Treatt is building on its existing applications expertise through resource expansion.
