Turnkey retool on an automated deburring station

AUTOMATED assembly and test systems builder Evana Automation Specialists performed a turnkey retool on an automated deburring station for a major automobile manufacturer.

The process begins when the station's first robot unloads the sand casting to the tooling area within the cell. A second robot, with a deburring tool, follows the contour of the water jacket passages to remove excess material. Upon completion, the first robot unloads the tooling nest and places the sand casting onto a belt conveyor, where it is transferred to another assembly line.
