AMI's 6th international conference on Thin Wall Packaging will take place from 6-8 December 2011 at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne, Germany. The conference focus is on lightweight plastics packaging tubs, cups, trays, jars and pots. It looks at storage and functionality of plastics materials in protecting and preserving items such as meat, yoghurt, margarine, fruit and vegetables, dairy, fish, soup, and ready meals.
This year's programme will start with a keynote presentation from Dr Philippe Diercxsens, Packaging and Environment manager at Danone Waters, discussing packaging sustainability through legal, technical and commercial constraints, followed by a paper from Dr Frederic Dreux of Unilever asking if there is beauty in downgauging.
The conference sponsored by Dow, Milliken, Sabic, Kuraray-Eval Europe, Wrapping Machinery, Kortec and EDV Packaging is expected to attract over 170 participants, providing a unique opportunity to network with the wide range of professionals involved with the plastics packaging industry at all levels of the supply chain.
