Unilever to share best practices at food safety conference

AT THE Food Safety & Quality Control China Conference, Dr Leon Gorris, Director for Food, Regulatory Affairs at Unilever, is scheduled to speak on the company’s adoption of Risk Analysis (RA) as the framework for risk-based decision making. This approach consists of establishing a safe design based on pertinent knowledge/data, informed selection of processes and control measures to prevent, eliminate or adequately control significant hazards, and validation and verification by useful testing during product innovation and product manufacturing. Dr Gorris will likewise share best practices about risk management and how to design and manufacture safe and innovative food products. The conference is set for June 25–26 in Shanghai.
