SOUTHWEST China’s fast-growing HORECA industry is attracting growing overseas interest, including food companies from the United States. To explore this potential market growth and consistent overseas interest towards the second-tier city network in China, the first U.S. Food Export Trade Mission to HOTELEX Chengdu has been organized.
In the import food sector, Chengdu has grown into the biggest import food center in southwest China with a huge potential. HOTELEX Chengdu aims to establish a one-stop sourcing platform for the HORECA industry of the southwest region.
Chengdu, as a central port of China's south-western region, has witnessed an unprecedented increase of five-star hotels both in business and under construction. As one of most ancient cities in China, the city has enjoyed favors and preference from international hotel management groups such as Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Hilton, the Mandarin Oriental, Waldorf, W Hotel and Starwood.
The U.S. trade delegation, which is composed of high-quality suppliers and distributors from the Food Export Association representing the Midwest and Northeast, has established strong commitment towards China's promising second- and third-tier cities. Their products range from dairy products, bakery ingredients, snack food, grocery, deli and organic food.
Onsite hosted buyer program including one-on-one match-making sessions, and industry field trips will further facilitate this trade mission. Please contact Zoi Fan for more detailed information or to arrange appointments.
