BEVERAGE producers are expected to operate sustainably in their use of resources. Treatment and disposal of water, a big part of the process can be a challenge when millions of gallons of wastewater are generated during production. But there are several innovative solutions to help companies manage waste.
Veolia joins Bevtec to introduce a number of its technologies to help mitigate water/wastewater management issues: the Biobed® Advanced Technology, the AnoxKaldnes™ Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR), and EVALED™ technology.
The Biobed® Advanced Technology is renowned for its high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal efficiency, stability in maintaining and producing anaerobic granular sludge, and its small footprint. It is a patented anaerobic wastewater reactor that integrates two existing reactors, the Biothane Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) and Biobed® Expended Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB).
The compact AnoxKaldnes™ Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is Veolia’s implementation of the biofilm principle. This reactor is designed for chemical oxygen demand (COD) and ammonia and nitrogen removal. It can also handle extremely high loading conditions without clogging issues.
The company also offers a completely computer-based equipment for continuous function in the EVALED™. It helps to limit wastewater volume and disposal costs, while complying with global environmental regulations. Waste minimization and valuable raw material recovery can be achieved through this system.
Veolia will schedule product demonstrations on these three cutting edge solutions at booth C10.
