Vianode announces new CEO

Vianode welcomes Burkhard Straube as the new CEO. “Burkhard Straube takes over leadership at an important point in time as we execute on Vianode’s industrial scale-up plan in Europe and North America. Burkhard’s extensive experience from international commercialisation and scaling, and deep passion for industrialising technological innovation, is very well aligned with our strategy and culture,” says Vianode’s chair Asbjørn Søvik.

Together with the leadership team and wider Vianode organisation, the new CEO will have a sharp focus on addressing the growing market opportunity for advanced battery materials while furthering the sustainable transformation of the EV industry with Vianode’s innovative products.

“The demand for high-performing, emissions reducing battery materials is clearly there. Vianode is in a unique position to address this opportunity and take a leading role in the energy transition, not only by reducing emissions but also through proprietary processes with lower energy and resource consumption. Burkhard Straube comes from the position of President of the Graphite Solutions Business Unit at SGL Carbon, a position he has held since 2015. He brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience from SGL Carbon, BASF and DyStar.
