The government of Victoria has organised trade missions to the Middle East and India in September. Victoria Week, which will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from 20 – 26 September, will focus on food and beverage, agribusiness, design, and sustainability.
The programme includes market updates and briefings from industry experts; business matching; site visits, and networking. Representatives from Victoria were scheduled to attend the Saudi Agriculture Expo in Riyadh (15-18 September).
Victoria’s exports to the Middle East and North Africa in 2013 totalled A$2.8bn, an increase of 8% on 2012, according to a report in Ameinfo. Further promotion of the Australian state’s products and processes, is expected to increase figures.
Following the Middle East tour, the Victoria trade mission will go to India for key sectors including food and beverage, ICT and sustainable urban design. (with data from ameinfo.com)
