With its recent release of two new ink jet printer models, Videojet Technologies Inc. claims the compromise between speed and content is over. The US-based manufacturer of coding, printing and marking products, fluids and accessories for the product identification industry, offers the Videojet 1620 Ultra High Speed and 1650 Ultra High Speed incorporate the Videojet Precision Ink Drop? system and patented CleanFlow? technology.
The 1620 UHS and 1650 UHS printers deliver more code content for high speed packaging operations. On the 1650 UHS, the company offers Videojet’s Code Assurance and on-board Productivity Tools to help reduce costly coding errors and eliminate the major root causes of unplanned downtime.
Both models give customers the solution to the traditional problem of balancing the need for high content codes and high quality print at ever increasing production line speeds. The ability to print higher content codes on high speed lines has been governed by the constraints of current ink jet printing technology. The 1620 UHS and the 1650 UHS surpass current technology through the use of Videojet’s innovative Precision Ink DropTM system - combining industry leading printhead technology, powerful software capability and specially formulated inks. Effectively, this means producers can now print existing codes faster or print more lines of code at current speeds without sacrificing code legibility. The new Videojet UHS printers surpass even the most demanding requirements in high speed applications like beverage and canning and high code content environments like dairy. The Videojet 1620 UHS and 1650 UHS printers are up to 40% faster than the prior industry benchmark, the Videojet Excel UHS.
