Vietnamese, Thai groups back Bevtec Asia 2015

TAGGED as Asia Pacific’s definitive beverage event, Bevtec Asia, is a venue for manufacturers and suppliers to showcase machinery, technology and materials for the brewing and beverage sectors. Launched in Thailand, Bevec is held biennially in Bangkok by organisers Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Asian Exhibition Services (AES), with the support of the Ministry of Industry, the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. This year the show takes place from 6-8 May at the International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

The alcoholic beverage sector is a prominent part of the exhibition, with strong participation from local and international breweries and manufacturers. In the ASEAN, Viet Nam tops beer consumption, followed by Thailand and the Philippines.

According to AES, the Vietnam Beer Alcohol Beverage Association (VBA) is planning to send a VIP delegation to Bevtec. The VBA has over 100 beverage manufacturers and product suppliers for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

With the Thai Beverage Industry Association (TBA), Bevtec has the all-out cooperation of the local beverage industry. The TBA leads the country’s beverage sector and is headed by Mr Pornwut Sarasin, the president of both the ThaiNamthip Co. Ltd., and Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd. TBA membership includes Nestlé, Pepsi-Cola, Sermsuk, Haadthip, Greenspot, Osotsapa, Tipco, Red Bull, TC Pharmaceutical, Carabao, Dutch Mill and DKSH.
