VietnamPlas celebrates 15th anniversary this year

The global plastic and rubber manufacturing community flocks to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for the opening of VietnamPlas 2015, scheduled to take place from 16 to 19 September 2015 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC).

The 2015 edition is once again organized by Ministry of Industry & Trade – Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD), Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd and Chan Chao International Co., Ltd; and supported by various international associations: CCPIT China, TAMI, TMDIA and TTPIA from Taiwan. The trade exhibition will span over  7500 sq.m. of space and is expected to top all previous attendance records.

Now in its 15th year, VietnamPlas 2015 has achieved global position especially and has been well-known in the ASEAN region.  With Vietnam being an  ideal manufacturing center for exports to U.S.A, EU, China, Japan and Korea, VietnamPlas has built a strong reputation for its outstanding quality and total solution showcasing the best cutting-edge technologies and manufactures.  

As Vietnam’s leading event, VietnamPlas 2015 is once again representing over 300 international brands from 10 countries and regions including China, India, Iran, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam. These exhibitors are expected to occupy 400 booths.  

More live demonstrations
VietnamPlas 2015 will see over 25% plastic and rubber machineries positioned throughout the exhibition halls, and about 11% of injection molding, blow molding machineries and bag cutting machines throwing live demonstration at the floor; further presentation includes more than 22% of booths displaying the latest selection of plastic and rubber raw materials; while the rest are extruders, auxiliary equipment, molds & dies, and parts & accessories etc.

Iran’s Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC), the largest supplier of Iran’s aromatics, polymer and liquid gas will be exhibiting for the first time in VietnamPlas. Besides, Jam Petrochemical Company (JPC) and its subsidiary company, Jam Polypropylene, Iran’s leading non-oil product exporters and polypropylene manufacturers will be showcasing its olefin, LLDPE, and HDPE Products. JPC promoted from 37th to the 27th rank among Top 100 Company of Iran and will be presented at Stand No.320.

Opportunities from ASEAN Economic Community
A workshop will be conducted under the title ‘Vietnam Plastic: Anticipating opportunities from ASEAN Economic Community’, where an impressive lineup of international experts in the field of plastic and rubber, will talk about key issues affecting the industry in both regional and global contexts.

The plastic manufacturing industry in Vietnam is sustaining an average annual growth of 20% to 25%. The majority of these plastic products are made for export, and Vietnam’s export turnover of plastic products in 2015 reached $4.2 billion in the first 6 months, up 10.3% year-on-year, according to the Vietnam Plastic Association (VPA). The growth rate is expected to expand once Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) are signed.
