MICROSCOPY & Measuring Systems leader, Vision Engineering, said it has been granted planning permission to build a new 7,432 m2 (80,000 ft2) global HQ behind the company’s existing facility in Send, Surrey. The construction calls for 23 new houses to replace the current factory.

The investment in new state-of-the-art facilities will further enhance Vision Engineering’s manufacturing capabilities, providing a long-term base for continued growth, as well as both manufacturing and environmental efficiency savings.
Mark Curtis, managing director, said: “We have finally been granted planning permission to build our new headquarters. Ultimately this will enable us to implement lean manufacturing techniques, as well being able to offer improved turnaround times and plough more resources into developing our range of superior microscopes.”
Vision Engineering customers have come to expect superior quality and performance from patented optical products and the new factory will deliver a positive contribution to both Vision Engineering and the local economy for decades to come.
Proud to be a successful British manufacturer and recently winning the ‘Toast of Surrey’ category award for Export, Vision Engineering hopes to continue succeeding both in the UK and around the world.Air Force 1
