Vitafoods Asia debuts in September

THE organisers behind Vitafoods Europe, the leading event for the nutraceutical, functional foods and functional drinks industry, have announced the debut for Vitafoods Asia (www.vitafoodsasia.com) in Hong Kong on 7-9 September 2011 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Asia Pacific is the second biggest global market for functional foods, behind only the USA, according to a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers report. An increasingly ageing population combined with a growing awareness of health and well-being issues have contributed to a heightened interest in the benefits delivered by these products.

"Our extensive studies have shown us that there is already huge demand for nutraceuticals in Asia and startling potential for growth. So suppliers of nutraceutical ingredients, functional foods and drinks, pharmaceutical products and nutricosmetics need to have a presence at the show if they are serious about developing their business in this potentially lucrative market," explained Chris Lee, Vitafoods Exhibition director.
