Vitrex receives award for strong health and safety

Victrex plc has been awarded a Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Order of Distinction at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013. The award recognises Victrex for achieving a sustained high level of health and safety performance along with development of robust safety management systems, strong leadership and workforce involvement. 

“Being honoured with this award recognises our strong commitment to the effective management of safety, health and the environment and, most importantly, the sustained efforts of all Victrex employees to achieve a high level of performance”, commented Simon Evans, SHE* Manager at Victrex plc.  “In Victrex we believe that good health and safety management is just one part of good business risk management. RoSPA’s awards manager David Rawlins added: “Organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Victrex plc has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.” The official ceremony took place on 14 May 2013 in Birmingham.
